Michael Summers has spent the last five years serving in the United States Army.  He spent over 2 years in Iraq where he managed a Tactical Operations Center, honing his technical writing and interpersonal management skills.  He has produced more documents and presentations for the 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division than he cares to remember, and earned more awards and honors than he cares to note.  He is a member of the 82nd Airborne Association and the United States Army Association.  

After writing for 15 years, Michael has finally decided to make it a business and devote his full attention to it.  In the past he has authored numerous documents, memos, and orders for the United States Army, several screenplays and short stories for film students in Indiana and Arkansas, and multiple articles, essays, and letters for various newspapers, bulletins, and magazines.

In addition to running Michael Summers Writing Service, Michael is also the Monroe and Owen County Editor for the Gosport Express Newspaper and has been featured in Supervision Magazine.

Michael is also a member of the Indiana Leadership Forum, class of 2010, a group designed to help further develop America's future leaders.  This select class of 24 members was chosen from proven leaders in various career fields and positions from across the state of Indiana.

Michael Summers holds a degree from Indiana University in Political Science and English and is a current member of the Indiana University Alumni Association.  He is married to Rachel, also a veteran, and they are members of the Church of Christ in Spencer, Indiana.
